Is there anyway to get out of a window tint ticket? I just got pulled over for mine. I was thinking about going to a tint place and getting proof of my tints legality and bring that in with my ticket. Does anyone think that would work or is that ridiculous.

I think that's a good idea. There is some kind of light meter that the police use that tells how much light is passing through. I don't know the california law. I'll look it up on that site I posted earlier.

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window Any darkness can be used

70% is not alot of tinting. Do you think that's what you have? I'd be surprised if you only have 70% tint on there if they pulled you over for it. But go with what turbo said below me here. Did they use that tint light thing? If not just go to court and ask for proof. Especially if your windows are really 70% and you have some kind of proof from the tint shop.
