Engine Swap Options for a 2000 GT
Hey everyone. Long Time reader New Poster Here.
I have a 2000 Stang GT, and after letting a friend borrow my car, the engine has been blown. Ive ripped it out and had it tested and the block is beyond repair. Im looking for a reputable vendor to buy an assembled long block. To be specific Im looking for the 4.6l windsor block for around 3 grand. I know that I could spend less building my own, but being a work aholic and a family man I really don't have the time to go through the entire process.
Ive done some research and found PowertrainProducts.net, anyone used them before, and if/so how did you like the engine? Can you guys recommend any other vendors for what I need?
Im also looking for same cost engine swaps that might up the power. Right now the car is bone stock. How viable is the option of putting in a 4v versus a 2v? Im looking to keep the price as low as possible, but wouldnt mind spending a little more if it would make the car more enjoyable to run.
Thank you for any answers they are all appreciated greatly.
