Ill keep you in mind!

I got my "POWERED BY SVT" Coil Covers to day and got the aluminum plate to make the adapter plate yestarday. I plan on making it over the next week or so. I could knock it out in a day, but I wanna take my time and make sure I am doing it correctly.

Also, since my car is automatic, I need a torque converter. Do you guys think a 2500 stall converter would be fine? Theres a really good deal on one on another forum and I dont want to buy something that I cant really use. I dont really race my car on the strip, but I would like to take it every once in a while. Also, this is my daily driver. So I dont want to be spinning my tires every time I leave a light signal.

Thanks,
Brian

man, im sticking with a low rpm stall with my eaton. these things make crazy torque at low rpms. 2500 is as high as i would go imho.

Hmm ok.

Small update: I got some of the adapter plate cut out. It still needs alot of work before itll be completely mounted. I need to go get a drill in the next week aswell. I also need to get a few holes on the intake manifold welded up because they are off by about 1/8 of an inch.
The blue thing is the soon to be adapter plate.

Well this really isnt an update, but Im just letting you guys know that things should be going together a little more quickly then expected because I just got a job detailing this one guys car collection.Itll be a long time before I finish these cars and he said he will just have me start over detailing them all again once i finish them all since it will take such a long time to finish the cars.
Im going to be getting some accessories soon such as a/c compressor and alternator so I can make the second serpentine system.

I know this build is very slow, but I have school and a job that take priority over it. For the update though. I found a guy selling a teksid block on craigslist. The block is in very good shape. Theres actually still crosshatching that are very visable in the sleeves. He is also going to gone out the sleeves for me and clean out all of the carbon in them. Also, I should have alot of the plate finished this weekend. I need to take the intake manifold to a welder soon to get a few holes on it filled in because theyre in the wrong place.

Well I picked up the teksid block today. It was alot dirtier then it looked in the picture. took about an hour today pressure washing the crap out of it and took another 30 min to get all of the old gasket material off.

If anyone needs an iron block thats already machined to .030" over, I am going to sell the other block I have. Ill sell it for $200 plus shipping to anyone on this forum. Im going to put it on corral for $250.

So Ive been gathering parts for the build. Just got new mahle pistons off of corral for $225. All I need is the rings and bearings and then i should be ready to send the engine out to get the short block assembled.
I am having trouble finding a part though. I need a 10 rib grooved idler pulley, but cant find one. Do you guys think itd be fine if I ued a smooth idler pulley on the ribbed side of the belt?
