well its a bigger car for sure, but it has an aluminum block, no blower on it or all the cooling to go with it, no IRS, and the list goes on. Plus the t56 is not a light trans either.

I think once you drive both of them, you will make your decision.

Yup, drive them and see if you don't quickly fall in love with the new 5.0.

For me, there is NO debate. The new 5.0 all the way!!! The Cobras are nice, but the 5.0 has technology that makes it do everything well.

04 cobra ftw. Older car. More respect. Use those 10G'$ that you save and boost the HP in the cobra to smoke that 5.0 also, its always nice to out perform the newer generations in style and horsepower. Bet a lot of people with the new 5.0 think their mustang is hot **** compared to older generations. The main point is that in an auction, I believe the cobra would fetch more $$$ than the 5.0

Look at my sig for what I went with. Sorry, but the new 5.0 shats all over the Cobra. The main redeeming part about the Cobra is that supercharged engine. While I LOVE the New Edge look, and always will, I don't think I can ever go back to that interior of the New Edge. Plus, going from one New Edge to another doesn't really warrant paying all that cash for one.

I went with the 5.0, this thing is SICK. It just makes power everywhere, and like the 04 Cobra's , they gain a lot of power with simple bolt-ons and a tune.

Unless you're going to collect the Cobra and never drive it to be worth money down the line, Cobra. It will be worth more 30 years from now. But if you're actually going to drive this thing, 5.0 all the way.

With that logic why not buy a $2500 POS, spend the $25,000 you're saving and beat STOCK 5.0s?

The 03/04 Cobras aren't going to "out perform" the 5.0s in style. I don't see how anyone can argue that. The 5.0s interior is so much better than the Cobras which use an interior design that is based off the 1994 Mustang interior design, just updated with nicer seats and nicer radio set up.

I understand the 03/04 Cobra craze but I don't see how someone can argue the Cobras interior/style is nicer than the 5.0s.
