Default 97 Cobra Wheel/Tire fitment?

Hello everyone! New to the site need to pick the brains of those smarter than I. I have a 97 Cobra pure stock other than exhaust (not important). I have 17x9 rims (factory) and need to know if Bullit style wheels (17x9) front and (17x10.5) rear will fit. My main concern is the tire size on the rear. Will a 315x35x17 fit on my stock cobra?

I believe some of the guys here are running that size on the rear without any issues. The wheels will fit fine.BTW welcome to MF.Please fasten your seatbelt and put your trays in the up position,we are now ready for takeoff.LOL

you'll need to flip or remove the quad shocks in the rear but that is the size tire you need, and yes those size wheels will fit

Depends on the offset of the wheel. Some of the knock off (cheap ones) have rubbbing issues.

@MustangMan will check the shock clearance. To all you guys who replied thank you for the advice will let you know how it fits and will post a pic to show the results should look pretty good being the car is white with a black drop top so black wheels should add a really nice touch. Thanks again!

I have 9" 255-40-17 10.5" 315-35-17 FR500 fit no problem on my 97 Cobra in sig.
Didnt even have to flip quad shocks maybe because Im only lowered 1"-1.5" all around?
But quad shocks do come close and I do plan on flipping them when I do take car to track after new clutch install.Im pretty sure on hard launch it will rub quad shocks

BTW welcome to forums and nice year Cobra
