Clutch - '95 GT
Yea, I know it's not the right year, but it's for my brother, and I don't know anyone in the 5.0 section. I believe it's a T-45 like the ones that came in the '99-'01's
My brothers GT has 130Kish miles...likely on the stock clutch.
Today, he was attempting a burnout and I saw/heard no tires but smelt some clearly visible white smoke.
He back up to do another one right in front of me...
DEFINITELY no tire spin, just white smoke and burning.
The clutch is going out I know, but that's ALL I know.
I was on AM.com looking at clutches and flywheels.
Are they both necessary when replacing a clutch on a Daily Driven car/how hard is it to replace/can it be done over the winter in a garage? (he will have plenty of time as it's stored winters)

I as well think it is a t5 in the 5.0 I would only replace the fly wheel if it really needs it if not just have it resurfaced your dad my be able to take it into work and throw it on a grinder if they have one if not let me know and I can do it for you.

94/95 5.0's use a specific T5 (the IPS is about 5/8" longer than a Fox's), 10.5 disc and a 10 spline IPS, just like any mod motor that runs a T45.
a T5 weighs about 70lbs and it isnt integrated into the bellhousing like the T45/3650's are, so doing a clutch swap is SUPER easy, i did it a few times on my back with the car about 1.5 feet in the air, no problem.
as for cost, i had about $600 into mine with a SPEC aluminum flywheel, SPEC 2+ clutch and a few other goodies.
and if his clutch is slipping, the flywheel is gonna have some warping/hot spotting so better to just grab a new one anyways.
