Default How to Drive Video

I just posted this in the timeslip thread but since a lot of you never go there I thought I'd share with everybody. I dropped my iPhone in the cupholder for a 11.24 pass. Not a pro video but you'll get the idea. If you have earphones it sounds effing sweet! http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...t=57179cec.mp4

Shifting very well! No lift is the way to do it! BTW, what RPM are you shifting at?

Awesome shifting man..I could only wish that I could shift half that fast...my 3650 would go into convulsions if it tried a no lift shift...if you dont mind me asking, what rpm did your engine make peak power? Im trying to get a good shift point and am trying to gather info on where people are shifting vs. where the engine made peak power...

Thanks! I shift at 5500/5000 only when on the N2O. The HP peak is around 5500 but I shift early to fall back into the peak torque curve since it's higher that the HP curve. On motor only I shift the 1-2 and 2-3 at 6400 and the 3-4 at 6000. Hope this helps.

That's awesome! My car started to pickup also when I started short shifting on the nitrous. I've never tried shifting it that low though. I'm gonna give it a shot now to see what happens, lol!

I watched your video over on the corral forums and was going to ask you then what rpm you shifted into 4th at.

Yea that helps, thank you. My car made peak power at 5950. I started out shifting at 6600 (10% over peak from what I was told to do), but the car seemed to flatten out while waiting for the shift light to come on. I tried shifting at 6000 my last time out and my E.T. and mph didnt really change...so I was just curious as to what others are doing...thanks again Jay!
