Inside a $200 2000 4.6
Found this on CL for $200. I bought with the full intention of doing a full inspection and rebuild. It seems to have an excessive amount of carbon in the cylinders. But everything wiped clean with a shop rag. I got everything less intake manifold and valve covers. I don't know how many miles are on it, but the cam lobs look super clean to me and you can still see the cross hatch in the cylinders. Going to do a full tear down and clean, then send block, heads, crank and maybe rods for inspection. I will for sure buy new pistons, cams, and all valve train/timing parts. My only questions as of now is how much will stock rods hold up to rpm/power wise. I will only run n/a and would like to see 10.5:1 compression.
