Default Debating on GT mustang

Hello name is steven, stevo for short

Im in a debate right now and I wanted both sides of my opinion.

Im currently looking into getting a Gt mustang from the 99-04 because I like that body style. My future plans was to put a nice t-67 turbo on it and run it to 400-450 hp. I know how to tune and I know how to install but Im not familiar with the mustangs capability, Im more familar with the evo 8, but I love both cars. and If I race I prefer rolls not digs because whatever car I get will be my daily. Has anyone seen a mustang gt turbo whoop on an evo before? I never have im used to seeing all motor mustangs around my area.

Any help would be appreciated, if its already been talked about then I will go serach for it

thanks

Here's a built NA GT vs. a turbo evo8 with full bolt ons. I'm looking to see if I can find a turbo GT run.

I'm sure a turbo mustang with 400hp could beat an evo with 350hp but not one with 500hp. You can't really just say that all mustangs with turbos beat evo's or vice versa. Yes, one could but you can't say for all.
The stock internals can handle up to 450WHP max and that is pushing it too. My car is at 400 and I wouldn't want to go any higher than that.
Check out On3Performance for a cheaper turbo kit and hellion for the great quality/reliability turbo kit. That's about all the info I could confidently say about turbo's for 99-04's.

I roll raced my friends stock Evo 9 from 30mph and lost by a car and I had one passenger. I had it in 2nd on the auto, maybe I should have left it in D.

If you lost by a car it wasn't a long race, that or your friend can't drive. A mid to high 14 second isn't going to lose by a car length against a car that is capable of mid to high 12s in stock form.

You should look in getting a mach1. The engine can handle a lot more power.
