Also, the Mach 460 head unit is a very specific unit. An aftermarket head unit will not work properly with a the Mach amp. I made the mistake of doing that when I installed a nav head unit in my 03 and when I went to turn the car on, the bass in the car totally died and it sounded like crap. Make sur e you get someone who knows the Mach 460 system before making any moves.

it will work fine with the proper adaptor. you had the same problem as me though, and only got "half" of it. there's an additional adaptor required to make the two extra amps work, which would make it sound like normal again.

I just got a aftermarket amp and left all the mach 460 wires in place so that if i ever take my system out then all i have to do is reconnect thefactory wires and itll work again
