my fav was the grande national with the duramax swap

get a pre '03. i believe 03 was the first year for the 6.0's and those are junk compared to the 7.3.

agreed, the 7.3 is a much better platform to start with. but if your lookin to make some power(more than just a programer or chip) go with a dodge cummins or duramax. duramax's are the easiest to pull power out of. a little tuning with efi live and its a beast with a built trannybut a cummins is a more reliable engine and produce a ton more torque to horsepower ratio. no matter what you get, buy gauges to watch those egt's. in all reguads, its not the engine that will cost you when laying down power, its the trans. me likey some coal rollin, lol!
