2000 Mustang GT - Master Plan/Build List/Progress Thread
**Updated 02/11/14**
**Green Text = Purchased**
So I've been doing some basic upgrades to my car since July (Short shifter, throttle body, tune, etc...) but after reading so many posts (using the search button of course), it seems like the best question was "What is your final goal?" Seeing as my Mustang is my DD, but I would also like to autocross AND drag race (70/30 mix), I have to make some compromises. Here are the remaining parts I want to install on my car, please feel free to give me some opinions if you like them or would suggest something else for my application. S/C is a far off goal, but I am taking it into consideration (along with a lot of highway driving) when choosing my 3.73 gears (of which a whole other thread could be written).

If I'm not mistaken it was those exact kind of UCA/LCA that Jazzer specified to stay away from if you plan to drive the car autocross style, or even taking fast turns in a DD. Those are the solid poly bushing kind that are hell on torque boxes because they are too stiff. Just my $.02

It gets complicated when you combine drag & autocross.
If you go with a set of springs that doesn't lower the car quite as much, that'll help on the drag strip. Here are our springs: http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-e...prings-v8.html
If you go with adjustable shocks & struts, you'll be able to soften them up for drag racing.
For the rear control arms, I'd go with our polyurethane upper & lowers, and spherical bushings on the axle housing to eliminate the bind: http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-9...l-arm-kit.html
http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-b...gs-8-inch.html
but I'd still recommend the torque box reinforcements:

I don't think you mentioned cc-plates, but they're a must! http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-c...es-4-bolt.html
