Question 2000 Mustang GT - Master Plan/Build List/Progress Thread

**Updated 02/11/14**
**Green Text = Purchased**

So I've been doing some basic upgrades to my car since July (Short shifter, throttle body, tune, etc...) but after reading so many posts (using the search button of course), it seems like the best question was "What is your final goal?" Seeing as my Mustang is my DD, but I would also like to autocross AND drag race (70/30 mix), I have to make some compromises. Here are the remaining parts I want to install on my car, please feel free to give me some opinions if you like them or would suggest something else for my application. S/C is a far off goal, but I am taking it into consideration (along with a lot of highway driving) when choosing my 3.73 gears (of which a whole other thread could be written).

If I'm not mistaken it was those exact kind of UCA/LCA that Jazzer specified to stay away from if you plan to drive the car autocross style, or even taking fast turns in a DD. Those are the solid poly bushing kind that are hell on torque boxes because they are too stiff. Just my $.02

These are another kind I was looking at for the LCA (http://www.americanmuscle.com/maximu...rms-99-04.html) and I like MM as a manufacturer. Do you know if they make an UCA (they dont sell one on AM)? Reading his sticky, it sounded like the solid control arms were the problem, where these (the original choices) say "tubular". I'm thinking that means they are hollow and not the kind that will crack under stress/strain?

It gets complicated when you combine drag & autocross.

If you go with a set of springs that doesn't lower the car quite as much, that'll help on the drag strip. Here are our springs: http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-e...prings-v8.html

If you go with adjustable shocks & struts, you'll be able to soften them up for drag racing.

For the rear control arms, I'd go with our polyurethane upper & lowers, and spherical bushings on the axle housing to eliminate the bind: http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-9...l-arm-kit.html

http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-b...gs-8-inch.html

but I'd still recommend the torque box reinforcements:
http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-h...e-box-kit.html

I don't think you mentioned cc-plates, but they're a must! http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-c...es-4-bolt.html

MF members get a 10% discount on products we manufacture, and they all carry a lifetime guarantee.

I'm leaning heavier to autocross, as I think I would feel more of a benefit during my DD'ing.

IMO your car screams a Mach 1 grill delete mod. Have you thought about getting rid of the projection head lights and just going with smoked ones?

I actually really like projector lights, and the difference at night really helps when I drive. I want to get rid of the honeycomb, and leaning towards those black billet inserts.

The lights are already smoked as well:
