We built some ramps that are made of 2x6's and theres 3 levels, just enough height to get under and get it changed. and they are long enough that nothing rubs. put a nother piece at the end to make sure you no when to stop, and it works out well.

I drive mine up on a block of wood, then 2 blocks of wood. Then jack it up.

I drive mine over a ditch by my driveway--gives plenty of room to crawl around and the car sits perfectly level.

Another for boards. I have an 89 Iroc-z that is impossible to get a jack under so I just drive it up on a 4x4 board, gives plenty of clearance.

I had an 86 Iroc-Z and an 89 GTA, and that was when I made my ramps as others have made above out of 2x6s... made them 4 levels and longgggg (about a foot per level), with an extra piece of wood at the top front to tell you when you are all the way up.

Using these with my GT I still sometimes need to also then jack up one side a bit more to get under enough to work on it, but for changing the oil those ramps are enough.

I built my ramps out of 2x10's at 7 layers tall. The stacked boards are about 20" long and the ramps attach for pulling on, but come off if I want to have access under the sides of the car once it is up. The chin spoiler still clears the ramps by about 3/4".

They work very well !!!
