Welcome to MF! ....you're going to need a lot of parts (OK, not that many)....But here's a start:
Clutch Pedal, Clutch, TOB, Cable, Flywheel, Pilot Bearing, 5 speed (or T-56), shifter, not 100% on a driveshaft...might even need to get a new tune! ....Look in the classifieds!

I can get a 1999 mustang gt for 1500 with 120k on it. Mint condition (the reason for such a good deal is its my friends dads). Would it be worth it to buy it and transfer it or would it be more worth my while to try to find one already standard?

Welcome to the forums. I suppose it depends what you want to do with the car. I think the peace of mind of knowing where the car came from and how it was handled makes it a sweet deal.
And for a cool picture read of a transmission swap check out this link. http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/...ion/index.html
