Default Transmission Removal

Hey guys I have a 2000 Mustang GT and recently started having problems......

I just got it painted and when I got the car back the clutch pedal was hard to push in and had a loud squealing noise. It would occasionally make noise when not engaged and would screech loudly when engaged. However, when shifting through third and fourth gears would not much as much noise. I believe its a throw out bearing. So, I recently started the process to take the transmission out and took off the dust container and found shards of metal falling out. So far I have everything unbolted and tried to pull the transmission from the engine, but it will not budge. Im going to go ahead and replace the pilot, throwout bearing, and clutch while its out.

Im open to any ideas or suggestions. Thanks!

did you pull the starter? And the 2 bolts on top that can be a pain to get out if you do not tilt the engine and trans down

^ this

also, when every damn bolt is out you still will have to get in there with some pry bars and separate it carefully. the dowel pins corrode and like to stick the trans to the motor

I pulled the starter out and looked inside where the dust cover is. The throw out bearing is pretty destroyed all the ***** came out of it and half of the bearing around the input shaft is stuck on it.Tried prying it off and will not budge

the throwout bearing comes off with the trans. As long as you have all the transmission bellhousing bolts out (make sure you got ALL of them), your going to need to get in between the block and trans and pry and wiggle both sides till it pops off. Plain n simple man

PUt a jack on the crank pully and tilt the front of the motor up so the trans dropps down...make sure u take your shifter off it just makes it easier and wiggle it forcefully back and forth while pullin back it should come out....
