It is good that your are OK!

My wife tells me all the time that I am "too technical", undoubtedly true because I find myself forced to say that those hits are to the B-pillars...

Ok then "B" pillar it will now be called, all I know is it's 1 of the strongest areas of a car to take a hit from. If he hit the door on either side I'd probably still be laid up in the hospital.

No need to "call" it that, that's what it is.

Seriously though, make sure your stay on top of the aftermath of the concussion--any confusion/dizziness/nausea/etc. get your butt to the ER ASAP...

VERY important, the worst from accidents always comes out after. My aunt got rear ended, thought she was fine, now she's all sorts of messed up from it.
