Transmission/clutch problem
Ok guys heres one thats stumped me, i have a 2000 4.6 manual 5 speed, recently its been really cold out and from my best judgement, when idling cold the tranny shakes a bit. I says its the tranny/clutch because when i have the clutch all the way in and go through the gears 1-2-3-4-5 it starts and stops shaking more or less as i move the stick into the different gears even with the clutch all the way in.
This only happens when its cold out, once the engine heats up it stops completely *is stumped*
Any thoughts?

if the bearings were going bad wouldnt it be making a funny sort of whining noise? never had either bad on a mustang only other vehicles so im asking lol
as far as a shaking the trans mount would definitely be a good place to start, and are you talking like the shifter is shaking or under the car you see the tranny actually shaking? if were talking shifter it could have something to do with the bushings in there being cold then warming up..
