I am really thinking about buying this 04 gt

http://verackamotors.com/profile.asp...zip=&distance=

I test drove it today and it drives very nice, Very smooth, clutch is nice. power is there

I feel that this price is very steep, what are your thoughts on this car? I am worried that it has an intake and a couple of "ebay special" decals on it (scoop and the trunk).

Thanks in advanced!@
Other than the A/M cold air intake(just a sound no real performance without a tune and installed properly to not throw codes) and the front lip like there is on a mach 1 it seems stock, blue book reads a few $k lower but the kicker for you is the dealer is thinking "40th aniversery...we can get a few more k out of this..." talk them down to 10.5 and done deal because this car has ALOT of potential...with 35k on it and stock tune nothing can be unfixable in the car due to its still stock. Go to bank ask for 12k loan and drop 1.5k into the cara automatically, with underdrive pullys, 4.10 gears and tune package, antanna shorty , H&R lowering springs and a mesh delete kit for the front end, then your set for a little bit

Personally I cant stand to drive a non forced induction 5/6 speed ive only driven F/I manuals and have an automatic, driven and automatic S/C 2008 mustang gt and that thing is just amazing you cant out shift a moded and tuned auto with a hammer shifter...but enough about me,

GET DEALER TO 10K OR 10.5K THEN DROP 1.5K IN THE LISTED ABOVE...

Dealers always ask 12-14 grand for these cars . This is my second new edge and the asking price for both was 14,999 and both had around 50k miles . I was able to get the 2 at 10,000 and 10,700 . The second one being more of a head ache though. Just keep your eyes out and 2005-07's you can pick up for pretty cheap too. Love my 04' , but definitely miss my 05'. If I were you I would drive the 04 and then drive a newer one and see which you like better. Nothing worse than buyers remorse

i got my 2002 gt convertible with 35k on it back 6 months ago for $11,400 and it was pretty much mint. so that is way high for a coupe!

Far too much! Around here that would be about 8k or so. You should be able to find a nice Mach or 99/01 Cobra for that price. (Or a 100k+ mile terminator with a salvage title!)

That asking price is on par with a few of the fully loaded supercharged Roush cars I've seen sell lately (and sadly). I'd skip it and keep looking.

Honestly OP, I would skip on the 99-04 and look into an 05-09. The 3v's make good power stock, respond great an intake/tune, and really comfortable. Good luck in your search

Yeah but they're not as sexy as the 99-04. IMO I still love the 99-04 and would probably consider getting a clean one down the road when a decent mileage GT hits 5K or so in a few years.

Anyways OP, WAYYYYY too high. I bought my 2003 GT for 7K with 50K miles on it back in 2009. There's no way I'd pay that much for this car that's almost 8 years old. Talk em down. No more than 8K for it.
