Need some advise on brakes
 

My brakes are starting to wear out and ive been wanting to get some drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads but AmericanMuscle.com has just the front rotors for about $200. I found this kit including the rotors and pads on sale for $250 on MMR's website.

Anyone know if these are good or are they cheap like the price?
Also if anyone has other recommendations on brakes.

MMR usually makes pretty good products from what I hear! And for the price that isnt too bad

Unless you show the car or auto x it primarily, drilled/spotted are pointless. Blanks actually have better stopping power under normal conditions because there is more surface area touching the pad. Slots are to scrape the "old" material off the pad, and holes to cool down the pads/rotors during high friction stops

I would say to just get the slotted rotors. Provide a place for the gas to escape, but the drilled rotors tend to crack from what i here. Go to R1concepts.com Thats the brand I have. If you live close to Brea, (in california), then you could pick them up and save some money. Also, put your money into some good pads. Get some Hawke HPS or similar pads for good stopping power. Aslo, you should replace your brake fluid if you have not done it in a while. Get some DOT4 fluid. It can handle higher temps.

Oh and killjoy, slots in the rotors arent made for scraping off the old material, its just another way to allow the gases to escape. This means cooler brakes that will actually brake better and longer. This makes the pads and rotors last longer, since it takes less effort for a car to stop more quickly.

Ive got the EBC slotted and corss dimpled on my gt with their red pads. As soon as they went on the car it was stopping quicker and they look real nice behind the wheels. I too could not open the jazzer take on the brake issue.

a nice set of pads, braided brake lines and new perforance brake fluid will make a very noticable difference
