Power Steering Problem
Ok so I just recently replace my rack bushings with offset bushings. I disconnected the steering column and unbolted the rack and just let it hang for a few minutes while I greased the new bushings and slipped them on. Then I put the rack back on and tightened it all up. Now when I am turning the wheel while coming down from a rev in a gear like when I'm turning into my neighborhood I get some resistance in my wheel and a little whine coming from the pump. I have jacked the car back up looked under there and can't see anything wrong. The fluid is full and I don't know where else to look.
Any ideads? |
Are the offset bushings "rubber" (urethane or whatever) or metal? If the latter then you are likely just hearing noises that the rubber bushings absorbed/masked...
