Convertible Top Prices are HIGH!?!?
I live in Maryland and have contacted multiple upholstery shops about swapping out my back window (it leaks). I have the part in hand and just need it installed. All three shops that I've spoke to are in the $450-550 range for install! Is that a bit much or in the ball park? Or am I just too cheap to realize a good deal??? HELP!!!

That is about average to buy the top and have it installed. I would suggest having the shop do it. in the end I wish I had done it at a shop, I did it on my own to save 300 bucks and it took me 3 days and a lot of headache.

I replaced tops on several Miatas over the years, got it down to a solid 8 hours if fitted properly. The Mustang top is of course larger, but its replacement not inherently any more complex a task.
I wouldn't do it for less than $350, and my overhead is a lot less than that of any real shop...
