i wonder why it ripped. any way it could have got stuck in the belt or fan?

Its very possible. Normally I would say no, but I changed my oil this past weekend and had a minor oil leak so I took everything apart and remounted it. So its very possible it got caught by the belt or something.

Switch to a v3 if you can, get rid of those oil lines.

Normally I have the oil feed line zip tied down. It wasn't after i remounted everything. At any rate, I'm switching to a turbo setup anyway. Even if I wasn't though, my v2 has worked great and it was most likely my own fault.
