Default Goodbye Cruel World

Well, my motor decided to commit suicide on Monday. Going to be a fun next couple of months not having a car. At some point on my way home from work on Monday my oil feed line came off (not sure what caused it) and caused all of the oil in my car to basically just run out of the engine. By the time I heard anything unusual or noticed anything unusual I had about 15 seconds before my motor seized and locked up... Wasn't sure until today when I got a new oil feed line and installed it. Tried to crank and no go. Still a while out from having my longblock assembled so not sure what i'm going to do in the mean time. At least I got in a bunch of racing with it this past weekend before it decided to go up in smoke.

Thats a shame! Have you tried putting oil into the cylinders and breaking it free by hand? You may get lucky if you were able to shut it down in time.

in every motor that's seized that i've seen, if you break it free and get it spinning it has little to no oil pressure left and wont run long. but that sucks man! want me to donate you my pistons/rods?!

Yes... Yes I do.

I was in the middle of doing a built shortblock/longblock anyway because I was going to go for more power. So its going to cost me about 1500$ more to finish it.

It was the line that runs from right next to the oil pressure sensor up to the supercharger head unit. It didn't come unscrewed or anything. The hose literally got ripped off the fitting.
