First mods after driving 2002 GT for a year...

I was thinking the same thing... Great start on the mods.. I would just ask that you shy away from a cai system. Very expsenive bolt on, for very minimal gains..

I hear you my man but all I'm saying it that the 85 bucks you spent on a CAI system could have went towards something else (gears, suspension, exterior mods, etc., etc.,).. Belive me I had every bolt on under the sun and maybe had 270 rwhp (and that's pushing it). We all want to start modding but the best thing about MF (for you new mustang owners) is not to make the same mistakes that we did when we 1st bought our cars.. Not bashing you my man, so don't take it that way..

This car has 275's in front and back and they seem to fit the wheels perfectly, no rubbing anywhere, and I hit the bumps and dips pretty hard.

I thought about that for a long time and I may still do it, I can probably get the headlight assemblies for around $60 each if I decide to do it. But, I don't really drive the car after dark, so I've never bothered with it. The only other mod I might do is some new shocks, other than that I'll probably leave it stock. If I can upgrade to a better car (2003-04 Mach I, 2003-04 Cobra, 1998-2002 Trans Am or 2005-06 Pontiac GTO), I may let my daughter drive this when she gets her license in a couple of years.

that's a possibility, but I still have to get a car for my daughter. And it's not just the acceleration that the Mustang lacks. I've always been a GM guy, but I bought this car to get me to work and back, and I have enjoyed driving it. It's a lot of fun to drive and I like the interior. But the handling is not as rock solid as even a 1970's Trans Am, much less one of the newer WS6 models. That's not everything of course, and at my age I would probably be better off in a Mustang, since I have a hard enough time getting out of it as it is. But, the body roll that the Mustang has when you take a corner fast was pretty surprising to me.

LOL
You shouldn't try to compare the handling of any car with 140,000 miles on the stock suspension (shocks especially) against another car.
Replace those old shocks and I bet your opinon will improve on the Mustang. While you are doing that, add a set of Ford C springs and it will handle A LOT better and still ride good (no other mods needed).
