Default Headed to Zmax Saturday!!!

Zmax dragway is having an open test and tune Saturday. Realistically what times should I be putting up? I have ran the 1/8 a handful of times and I ran the 1/4 a few times last year but never in this car. I have an 01 engine swap bbk o/r h pipe and a k&n filter stock gearing... idk if there is anything else but i do know it is faster than my 04. Are there any mustang forum guys that will be out there saturday?

I have a buddy who just asked me if I wanted to go down to ZMAX and make some passes on Saturday. I was planning to go to Rockingham on Sunday, but I may change my mind and make the drive down to Charlotte.

A GT with stock gears, o/r mid pipe, and street tires... I would guess 14.1 or so.
You can take your 1/8 mile times and multiply them by 1.53 to get a rough estimate on how they would turn out in the 1/4. The 1.53 is the ratio I have calculated from my last 100 passes at the track. It won't be dead on, but it will be close.

Is anyone else going to ZMAX with you???

My bro-in-law is bringing his 350z. I hope to give him a taste of american muscle. He has never been on a track before so it shouldnt be a problem! I beat him on the street by half a car length in my 04 and this one is noticeably faster.

YEAH, show that 350Z what American power can do.

Just be careful though. Being you are on your 3rd Mustang with the other 2 being wrecked. Them are not very good odds...lol

My first one rolled down a hill and hit a tree after I parked it (forgot to put it in gear before I got out) and my wife wrecked my 04.

I'm betting a 14.5. Those stock gears along with the street tires will most def hurt you. GL and I really hope you prove me wrong!

Oh...lol By just reading your sig, it makes you look like a bad driver. Besides, I was just messin with ya. Sucks though, any Mustang getting wrecked is a bummer. Good luck at the track. Be sure to post up your numbers. I'm curious to see what you will run.

I'm guessing low 14s, maybe some high 13s.

GOOD LUCK!

I decided not to go down to ZMAX and I'm heading to Rockingham instead. I'm afraid that I'd drive 3 hours down there and then they would fail me in tech inspection. I think I have a component missing from my nitrous set-up to pass the inspection.

Keep an eye out for my buddy with his white G8GT. It will surprise you. He should be 11.5's all day on his street tires. A guy may let him borrow a pair of DRs which should put him in the low 11's.
