Well today at the track was kinda dissapointing... But I did it to myself... I added a lot of drivetrain weight when I went to a much larger slick and 35 spline axles. It was also 80 degrees and 60% humididity today. I launched it at 5,500 rpm and still dead hooked and bogged the engine down. I guess too much traction isn't the worst problem to have. The extra traction should be able to shine when I spray it!!!! Next Time.

Ill be posting up some time slips soon. I went out a few times last year with the new setup but was having major issues with traction. Best that I managed was a 12.63 with a 1.63 60ft. spinning horribly. Ive been working on some stuff, but lost my job in December and Im still unemployed...so Im hoping to slowly get back on my feet and get to the track more..

Damn jay, 35 spline axles? What you plan on throwing at it? Sounds like your having a similiar problem to what i had last year with my 275/60 mt's. If they hooked they were pulling hard on the motor. Thats why i went with a 26x11.50 qtp for this year. For the juice the bigger tire may help, but na i think its gonna kill you all year long.

Hey man, good luck in the job search! I have been amazed at the weak response to my resumes since I graduated in December. You would think 23 years work experience and the new degree would at least get me some interviews...

WOW! A 1.63 60' and "spinning horribly!" I wish I could get a 1.63 60' launch. I'm sure my road race type suspension is NOT helping me

Good luck with the next passes and let us know how it goes!

It will eventually be a True 10.5 car.... someday....

Shooting for 1,200-1,500hp.

Some suspension now, fully built axle now, next tranny, and then someday motor and the many supporting mods.

Thanks for the kind words...I have something in the works for a job, so hopefuly it pans out.

And yea, two years ago with less gear, smaller cams and lower compression, I was able to dead hook and get a few 1.59 60fts...last year, the tires would not hold, and I could actually hear the tires squealing off the line, then barking into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear. This is with a 27x11.50 Q.T.P. but I was having some suspension issues that didnt come up until I added more power and gear...so hopefully its figured out and I can see what she does this year..

Heads up racing equates to not the best driver, but who has the biggest wallet...
