Cold TR-3650=Hard to Shift..
When I first start my car up in the morning its really hard to put the tranny into gear..whether its 1st, 2nd, or 3rd while driving..I have to sorta feather it in somehow. But, once I have drivin for a little bit and the tranny warms up a bit its much easier to shift and all is well....It has been like this for years now and has not gotten any worse or better at cold starts....
Anyone else with the tr-3650 have the "cold" hard to shift issue.. I have royal purp tranny fluid...

This is common for the TR3650.
Agree with the above question... did you put 102oz(3 quarts) of the Royal Purple in when you changed the fluid? Nearly everyone that has used Mobil1 ATF have reported good results.

When was the tranny fluid last changed? I had used RP Synchromax for a couple years because I could get it "at cost" from a local shop--however the recession hit and that source closed. So I filled it up with 3 qts of Mobil 1 ATF and found that it shifted much more smoothly.
I don't know about cold weather performance, 'cause we don't have any of that here--the coldest it ever gets outdoors is 35°F for a couple hours before dawn, and in my garage it never gets much below 50°F...
