Treadwear ratings...
#11
Gotta say, treadwear ratings are a number given to the tire based off of the tires that company makes. So if they make nothing but commuter tires, than normal NT555's could get a lower treadwear rating.
But yea, its not supposed to be a true performance tire. Its a touring/all season tire.
Also, the Falken RT615K's replaced the normal RT615's and are super expensive and they dont make the correct sizes for your new wheels anyways. Largest 17" size they have is 275/40-17 and they are $207/tire. you'd be better off looking at the kuhmo xs or nitto nt05. Have had the nt05's and currently running the xs's and they are both great tires that I think would meet your expectations.

"I think 275/40-17 is as big as they make 'em, so they are 8k to maybe 12k tires on the back of a GT--and they are $188 a pop +shipping..."
That doesn't qualify? Could have been more specific I guess.
Anyway I got the vinyl as scraps from a sign shop a few years back, when I told the fellow what I was doing and asked what I owed him, he said "You're making a flag aren't you? Get out of here..."
