good tire width/ tire size?

^^^ +1 on the Sumitomo. I just got a set in 315/35/17 on a 10.5" wheel.
Its a real cheap tire that definitely hooks better than stock and has decent wet traction with good ride quality. And I hear you can get 30k+ miles out of them. Had mine on for 50 miles so far... So far so good...lol

The summi's are a good tire for the price. Had those on the rear a few years ago.
I also had the Nitto NT555 315 on my last set of wheels and was not impressed. Very loud, obnoxiously loud actually, and they wore very quickly.

IMO as I stated earlier. The Sumitomo 315 is the best DD tire considering its price..they also LAST..
I currently have a 315 Sumitomo tires out back but will soon get the Nitto NT05R DR soon. Just because i need DR's and the tread pattern is sick! IMO
