Apparently MA changed it's inspection policy and my car was flagged last year and need to go to registry for inspection. My custom tune has three settings not ready per state inspection. They are cats, erg, evap therefore I will need a retune as I cannot change these settings within my SCT tuner. The tune says custom.

This really stinks so I need to go to Dez racing. I can't get hold of Pete at performance dyne in nh.

Anyone else run into this problem in mass?

cant you just return Mustang back to stock tune with your SCT?

My GT was can tunned and just removed tune do to Bama hooking me up with tunes for my Cobra (Thank You Chris Rose ) and I will need a sticker the end if this month (3) so I returned it back to stock tune and need to drive it a bit to relearn.Should pass with no problems here in MA.



Now to my understanding did you remove your Cats,EGR,Evap.

As per Ma laws its illegal to remove cats in this state if car was equip with them from factory even if the car doesnt get smog tested.

Sound to me if you removed these items you are SOL in this crap state.They will fail you again and again.

I would say your best bet is to get a stock DP at LKQ or salvage yard and grab the EGR and Evap slap them on ,retune and go get your sticker then put your race tune and offroad H\X pipe back on.

I have cats and evap not sure about egr valve but only need 2 out of 3. Going to stock is not going to work as i need to drive the car to have pcm ready. Mass does suck

I just got my car inspected yesterday.. had no problems with the ecu reading. Mike Dez made sure it would be fine for me well set you up to pass no problem. Im also catless.. the place I go to doesnt check under the cars which is nice. :]

I got out of Massachusetts 20 years ago, after being born and living in the Plymouth area for 45 years, and have never looked back. Down here we have no vehicle inspections, no snow to shovel and windshields to scrape, and no excise or state income tax...

Well since i need a new tune i would like to pulley down to a 2.87 for more power. If i am going to spend the money i might as well get more power out of her at the same time.
