How on earth do you strip every bolt on a motor in the first place. That's insane.

Glad it's working out now.

I still can't see how he does something like that. It's one of those things that you see it but just can't get past the fact it happened.

Guy that put it together probably though he was cool using his impact gun to assemble everything. Some guys don't even know enough to start bolts several threads by hand before putting a tool on it. He probably just put the bolt in the socket and drove it right in cross-threaded as hell.

Sadly, there are probably bolts internal to the motor that are stripped out too, but haven't been seen.

GOOD LUCK with the rest of this project uberstang!!!

Most people would strip one and say I better be careful next time. That's just plain negligence. Hope it runs well when it's in. My son had an experience like that. bought a 5.0 T-Bird that supposed to have a rebuilt Mustang motor. It ran ok for the price, but it sprung a leak on the back fuel crossover while he was driving it and burned the car down. We pulled the motor and junked the car. Was going to sell the motor , but checked compression and lowest cylinder was 90 and top was like 130. I was like WTF, noway it got hot enough to do that to compression. Pulled heads and found old water mark like it had sat with water in the cylinder for a long time. So buyer beware.

Pulled the plugs and the plug threads are good , helicoiling it up and runnin it. He had a shop assemble the heads and degree the cams so should be good there.
