spray 2+2 around suspected leak origin and watch the short term fuel trims on a scanner

Or if you don't have a real time scanner, use carb cleaner and spary around any air line and listen to the car. The idle will bog down/have a change of sound.

That doesn't always work, especially on minor leaks. The "best" way is either with a scanner or like stated get it smoked

Use a throttle body cleaner/carb cleaner. It could be a fire hazard if you aren't careful but if you shoot it at the suspect area and the idle changes when you spray it, u found the leak.

Agreed. I hate vacuum leaks.... Smoke test is not to $$$ and will show you right where it is. I think I was quoted 50 bucks a year or 2 ago.
