I went from a '08 Z71 as a daily driver to my Mustang, which is my occasional driver. No issues here, but I'm not sure I'd like to drive my Mustang daily. Comfort, size of interior, and ride are definitely a little harsh going from a full size truck. If it's fun you are after, then by all means, go for it. But also, if it's for fun, you should also look into a 5 speed.

I went from an F-150 to a Taurus SHO to my 2000 GT. Space is an issue sometimes, but I don't need the room often enough to justify not having the car. I deal with it and plan ahead.

Far as fuel mileage, don't expect anything over 20. Bone stock all highway mid 20's is possible if you drive like a grandma. Start modding and it only goes down from there for the most part. If you get on it every so often, the fuel mileage will drop pretty quick. I've stopped caring about fuel mileage, I love my car and that's it, end of story. The more I worry about stuff the more I find life sucks. Just go for it man it's a change of pace. I miss my truck and one day I will be getting another F-150 for sure, but for now I'm lovin life.

Mustangs are overpriced in Alabama, but you can still find good deals.

I bought the 1999 GT in my signature for $6200... I think it was in the Birmingham craigslist ads. I wouldn't have paid that much, except for the fact that the car had been garage kept and had some great mods. It's a great car. Haven't had a tank of gas worse than 21mpg.

Good miles but you might shop around more. I found my 99 for less cash and just over 100,000 miles. All stock which to me is a big bonus. Good luck and hope to see some pictures soon.
