Default Looking into purchasing second Mustang would love some input

Ok guys, I'm pretty wide open as far as what year Mustang I'm looking for but I'd like to stay within the 1996-2004 range. I'm looking to see if there are any issues that are fairly common within this range. There is a '97 SVT cobra and various new edge GTs catching my eye. I am looking for a solid daily driver that I will put ~400 miles/week on. Only looking at GTs and only looking manual. Any input would be great and if you have any questions you feel I need to answer in order for you to help by all means ask. I'd like to stay ~5-7k price range. This is the 97 that has got my eye currently:

Found a Zinc Yellow '01 that seems promising as well:

Not in a hurry to buy but would like to get something before this fall for sure! Thanks for any input guys!

Probably should have put this in the General Discussion section here...my bad guys

116 views and no feedback!?...dang. I've found a little bit of info such as plastic manifold issues and various other things but if anyone has some first hand knowledge I would truly appreciate some input. Either way, thanks anyways.

Honestly, I'm looking to find a GT/Manual with less than 100k miles (the lower the better). I'd probably be willing to spend around $8500 at most and based on my research I'm thinking late 01-04. Transmission/head gasket issues don't sound like something I want to run into. Found this...seems promising but it might be too good to be true...

Also will be looking into this Bullitt...If I can get it for the right price, I might be all over this.

Yep, I'm in Ohio (Alliance) and will be there on May 20th. I'm trying not to be so picky but I agree with you. I'm really trying to buy something I won't become attached to so that I can trade it in a few years down the road on a new vehicle. I just want something that I can have paid off before my current stang that will keep the miles down on Mojo as well. I'm now looking at the 8-10k range so that it would be a newer (late 01-04) that has decent miles.

with that price range you should be able to find a nice sn95 cobra or a nice lower mileage gt. They did have a problem with the coolant crossover on the manifold that would break eventually, i think they corrected it in 2004.

I dont think that 04 is too good to be true, in fact thats more than most people would probably pay for it. I bought my gt 2 years ago for 8500 and it had 73k miles on it, dealer wanted 9500. and I would not pay 11k for a bullitt, yes it is a bullitt and its clean, but your essentially paying ~~3k more for different seats, unique paint, different cluster, and a different intake that adds up to 5hp lol. For the right price i would be all over a bullitt but thats not the right price lol

That's a nice find but I'm looking for black, white, or yellow most likely. I've found some very nice ones 10 miles down the road that I'm going to go check out tomorrow morning. We will see if I own a "new" Mustang tomorrow, lol
