Hello everyone,

im new to the forums, i have a 98GT and really need an EGR Tube. i know some people have an EGR Delete kit and might have a tube laying around they dont need. it is a non dealer item i was told they are discontinued and the one for the 1998 is specific to that year. i checked to see if the 96-97 or possibly 99+ would work and was told its a diffent part number. i blew a small hole and a large crack in my tube and since i just bought a new DPFE sensor and new EGR valve + the fact its my daily driver i would like to find a tube. right now there are no codes but it stumbles and pings when driving steady. At idle, cold and WOT it runs fine minus the pinging. if someone has one or can point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

why dont you delete the egr? just curious... try your local junk yrd..although it will prob be hard to find a gt in there

well this will sound strange but..... i dont plan on doing much if anything to this motor. plus the fact that its my daily driver any bit of gas mileage helps. also i just got a new EGR valve and a new DPFE so i figured i would try for the tube. if there are enough ppl doing EGR deletes around maybe someone was a pack rat and kept the tube.. worth a shot before i drop 400 on a tuner and tube for a motor i dont care about and will one day replace

can your old tube be rewelded? maybe take to a muffler shop and get it welded up

I deleted my egr and have many codes related to the egr and O2 sensor. I have purchased the Diablo trinity 2 platinum but don't really know if this will help. Car seems to be running very lean. Any assistance would be greatly. Appreciated.
