does anybody know where i can get a killer deal on 305's for an 18 inch rim, 9.5 inchs wide? i know american muscle has pretty good deals but i still don't want to pay $300 a tire. any suggestions?

Yeah that aint gonna happen I agree, I got Bridge Potenza's 295 for my rear an they were about 270 a pop

A 305 is too wide a tire for a 9.5" wheel, so step down to no more than a 285 (still too wide, IMO) Beyond this, a tire should be chosen by the needs of the driver, not what you are willing to pay. Now, I realize that budget certainly comes into play, but if you happen to need the grip that ONLY a higher priced tire will offer, you should to save your pennies to afford them

I agree with the statement made above. 305 is too wide for a 9.5" rim. I would stick to a 285 max. Also, I just wanted to remind you that we do price match! i disagree, i'm sure a 305 can fit on a 9.5 inch wide rim. it won't be flush with the rim but it will fit. i would stick 315's on them if i would find a desent pair for an 18" rim

There is no question that a 305 can be mounted on a 9.5" wheel. Hell, here is a pic of a 315 on an 8" wheel:


Just because one "can" mount an oversized wheel, does not make it a good idea Do some additional research, Choosing a new tire is a good place to start, you will find out why an oversized tire is not helpful in any practical way and offers zero additional grip. In fact, going so far as the image pictured above... it is downright dangerous!
