If you had a choice between a 2002 mustang GT automatic with 31,000 miles, basically clean as a whistle, or... 2005-2009 mustang v6 manual what would you choose. Answers will help me alot. im assuming you would choose the 02?

Would take the 02 GT. More power, more potential.

+1 on the 02. Invest in a manual transmission swap. It's a common mod and there's nothing more fun than a V8 with a manual trans...

I would want to drive both first. I think the s197 sixxer would be a more comfortable drive, but at this point I would lean towards the 02 GT auto....and would probably leave it as an auto.

Had I chose the sixxer though, good chance I wouldn't be happy with the power so I would get a supercharger for it.

And down the road for the auto GT, probably gears, some exhaust work and maybe a blower as well (but probably not).

Depends on what your future plans are? Is this car for driving back and forth to work everyday, or is this a weekend car that you want to just use on the weekends? There are many factors that have to be taken into consideration when thinking of buying a new car.

Honestly speaking, I would keep saving my money and spend it on a manual GT. I'm not big on automatic sports cars myself, nothing against them, just wouldn't buy one.

ya the only thing that sways me is the auto tranny, but like the one guy said transmission switch, not sure how much that costs. i would drive it daily in the summer probably not in the winter. ive driven the 4.0 v6 manual more power then my 97 camry for sure though lol.

Get the GT, mines a daily driver with 4:10 gears, and its my "gas saver" haha. $45 a week vs $90+ on my truck for gas.

Honestly the V6 to me shouts out "gas saver" but it was never much of a saving where i'd chose it over a V8. The GT is also very comfy to drive, I am 6'4 and 240lbs and its great, although the steering wheel does rub my leg....
