Default HID foglight question.

Those of you with the stock housing, How do you like them with HID's? Do they work ok? As some of you may have seen in my pics, the fogs look weak compared to the HID headlights. They are smoked, which doesnt help matters obviously.

With the smoked fog light housing don't expect a lot of might output at all... I droped in some 35w 15000k for a nice blue output... pretty bright but not enough to really help you drive or anything... kinda just turn into parking lamps

That's a on going debate Steve over on hidplanet, some say overkill some say it helps. For best results you want a yellow in color bulb as higher Kelvin tends to reflect more light back at you in heavy fog.

I guess my question really revolves around the set-up itself. Ie; Putting an HID in a halogen projector headlight housing produces a bad pattern and may blind oncoming drivers, would the same be so for the foglights? or are they low enough not to matter. I would be using about a 5K or so, so the light wouldnt be suoer bright, and would have a yellowish color being projected through a smoked lense. But, this would balnce more with my current setup, as opposed to having the HID headlights and the super dim halogen fogs. MAke sense?
