Looks like we need an *******... so i'm here for the rescue. First of all, welcome to MF. Now that's out of the way.... if you've been working on cars for so god damn long, why cant you do your own simple gear swap? Hell the 8.8 rear has been the same for a VERY long time. Nothing new there. Your age is not a measure of your wisdom. I understand if arthritis in your arm keeps you from shifting so much..I get it, you shoulda bought an auto. Now, on to this 8.7sec car. Could you provide more details? Timeslip? Pictures? You've peaked my interest. And FYI, I havent been '8.7s' but ride shotgun in a Mustang that ran 8.83@153 quite often..Doesnt make me a better poster on an internet forum. You argument is invalid. Have a nice night gramps

Ive got some 2.73s laying around somewhere if you want them...they are really awesome if you like going 120 mph in second gear!'

And no, im not joking either, do the math, 26 inch tire, 2.73s, 4r70w has a 1.55 ratio 2nd gear, at 6500 rpms you will be doing 119 mph lol

I would recommend 3.55s

If you weren't so stupid you would have seen that I posted saying I COULD get someone to do it for 300 BUT I am just going to do it MYSELF so your post is invalid. As a matter of fact you should meet at my shop out back Daddys got work to do and I summins you to hold my tools.

Do your research on this thread before you want to look tough on here. I swear the youth education and common sence is going down hill. Gramps has sleep to get night night son
