What's the waiver all about, removing pollution control devices or something? Sure, go for it. They're probably just reducing/eliminating their legal liability should you get in any trouble for having it on there.

It is illegal to remove a pollution control by a shop. Last time I looked it was 25K in fines. I think you're darn lucky to find anyone to do it.

In Texas, you'll never pass the emissions test. And if they pull you over without cats, they can (and usually will) impound the car.
The waiver is you saying you won't be driving the car on the street and it's an off road vehicle only. If you do end up getting caught and the LEO can show that waiver, you'll have even more to deal with than just an impounded car and fines for no cats.

Not worth it at all. Keep it legal on the street.

Heck yeah...if you have emissions dont put off road pipes on it. You will not pass unless you get a really bad inspector. If we could pull that off in Denver, I would have had them on my '10 a long time ago.

^^ Could, but in Texas they like to do random roadside stops to check for current inspection tags and they set up sniffer checks to keep you on your toes. Not worth the trouble.

Ahhh.... In Maryland you only have to worry about emissions every two years.
