just sold my forged motor finally, sold it for $2000. Just wondering what you guys think if i got the raw end or made out good. the motor was essentially a mmr900(same parts) just assembled by me which go for over 3k. Either way, I pieced the motor together and only had about 1700 into it so I essentially got paid $300 to assemble a motor so i'm not too displeased about the price.

IMO it was a good fair deal for both of you. Nothing against you at all but as I buyer I would never buy a preassembled engine by some guy I didn't know, that did it at his garage at his house. That alone will make the value drop a ton just because of not having a good name backing you. If you made money id be happy. Usually these types of things you end up losing or maybe breaking even.

Yeah i know exactly what you mean. this guy has built engines also and he said he's going to go through it and check it all, and I cant say i blame him i would if I was in his shoes. but yeah if it was built by mmr or an actual shop i would have asked more, but i still made a little money so i'm not all that dissapointed in the cost.
