Few updates on the car and such.
Still gathering parts, but am almost there. Once I get everything and start installing it all, I'll post to my build thread, just wanted to give some updates.
Bought CTGreddy's NX plate kit, and picked up a bottle off craigslist yesterday. Then I transformed it.
Sittin in the seat on the way home.
originally pinstriped, but looked like someone dumped a bag of sand over it.. the bottle itself was almost perfect, the paint just wasn't up to my standards.
Almost done wet sanding with 300 grit.
First coat of color after I finished wet sanding it, I primered it, and layed some OXFORD white down, did 2 coats, and wet sanded between each one. NICE AND SMOOTH
I also layed down some designs, with white tape
Second coat of color Metallic Blue. My car has the silverish blue rocker stripe, and the gray leather interior with the blue accents.
Another angle, and yes thats the DD in the background now!
Peeled the striping tape, and the masking off.
Nothing crazy, but I think the little bit works. Just something different.
Finally, an overgrown ford edition budlight bottle! haha. It still needs to be clear coated. I will be doing that this morning, I did the paint yesterday, and let it dry all night. I'm going to do about 4-5 coats of clear to really let that blue shine and pop. I'll do one last wet sand after the clear has dryed just to make it silky smooth.
What do you guys think?
