I meant to say 8lbs not lbs n that post.

And thanks for the info uber that's a big help. Cuz the spacer and imrc deletes r only like 350 for both.

And what about shortening the runners is bad on ablowercar? Im not arguing with u I am just a little confused how a shorterrunner will hurt hp?

Well a shortrunner wont really hurt it, but will show no gains FI. Those billet imrc deletes from mmr are expensive, id loom for a metal pair of stock ones and have the butterflys removed and holes welded.

Doug do you have IMRC plates already? In 98 they switched to a plastic composite material on the plates.if you get the plastic ones the holes just need to be epoxied shut after you remove the rods and butterflies.

I've been over and over with this tosn of times. The 96-98 cobra intake cam is a better cam than the intake cam on the c heads, thats why alot of people swap them into their c head cars. Stock for stock C heads will outflow B heads, but worked vs worked the b heads will outflow.
But with forged internals, plenty of boost and fuel that setup can easily sneek up on 1,000hp at high rpm. even the stock cobra intake butchers low end that is why the factory put on the IMRC's.

Personally I think the "low end" power horrah is a bunch of BS. If you are wanting to get on it, or race, or whatever it is you want to do really how long is the engine in this "low end" range??? high stall auto blows right by it, manual with high gears quickly gets into the upper range when you want it to. Do you only get on your car in 2 second increments from idle?

Just my worthless opinion not wanting to start any debates

I am with you. Only time I like the extra torque in the low range is when I am in the city and not really getting on it.

Bone stock 96 GT with the Mark VIII motor. Even with my slow as hell shifting is hitting 0-60 in roughly 6 seconds.

My bolt on 3.73 geared PI swap GT does 0-60 in roughly 6 seconds. It shows to be more like 5.5, but the speedo wasn't corrected, so look more at 65MPH for the correct figure.
