Default Exhaust for Mustang gt

My birthday is in a month. so my mom and stepdad are paying for mufflers and installation for my 2002 mustang gt. my local shop has Dynomax mufflers. I am leaning toward the ultra flow x. will this have a similar sound has if i had an actual xpipe? and will it fit on my mustang? it has a wierd design. sorry if that is a stupid question but i am still learing about all this exhaust stuff. which one of these mufflers would have the deepest sound? also which one of these would have a loud but not ear splitting sound? i want to be able to hear it from a good distance away at cruising speeds but when i get on it i dont want every cop in the town hear it.
nothing against you cops thankx everyone. hear is the link to their website.

Taking out the catalytic converters (cats) is where you'll really pick up the volume. That would be the "mid pipe" or section of pipes coming off your headers, including the cats, and stopping at the mufflers. If you're just replacing the cat-back, or just the mufflers, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with loud sound. I've got flow master super 40s on my (cat back) and it's suppose to be one of the more aggressive sounds. It has the muscle car rumble when I step on it, but at cruising speeds under 2k rpm you barely notice them inside the car.

I've never seen a muffler like the dyno "x" on a mustang. Maybe check and see if it'll mount up before committing to it, maybe someone else can chime in on that part.

the dyno x is a duel in/out muffler and wont work. you need 2 single in/out mufflers

02gtgarrett,

You're really going to like the FlowMasters! If you have any questions about changing your exhaust mid-pipe or any other AM products, give me a shout!

After having the flowmasters on my car for 1 year now, do not go with an o/r mid pipe unless you like deafening drone! I'm speaking from experience here!
