Default Anyone Running These Springs?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/sr-springs-7904v8.html

Looks like everyone is having good success with them.

Is anyone on the forum using these without issues?

I was thinking about the H&R Super Sports but these are considerably cheaper.

Thoughts?

Just put these in a couple weeks ago after a failed attempt at cutting dead coils off my FRPP C-Springs.

They work great. Good ride. Not too stiff, not to bouncy. For 100 bucks, definitely worth it. Drop is as advertised at 1.5in on all corners. Happier with these than the C-springs that were almost twice as much...

0440thgt,

We've had great results from this set up so far. I'm glad customers are hoping in here and giving you real experiences with our product.

SR Performance Standard Rate Springs will lower your Mustang's center of gravity, which will reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. These Springs are great for daily driving, street, and even occasional track use.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can be of any assistance!

dan, how do they compare with with the h&r ss as far as height, handling, and ride comfort?

Kugzgt,

They are very comparable and half the price. They're both Standard Rate Springs which will reduce squat during acceleration and body roll in the corners. H&R's will be 1.7' and 1.5' compared to 1.5' all the wary around, so the ride height is very similar!

I hope this helps!

I just put a set on this week. I forgot to measure the gap before having them installed, so I can't tell if the car is 1.5" lower. The ride and handling is noticeably better. Here's some pics. Note, my tires are pretty much worn out, so the gap is bigger than with new tires.

After:

Also, the pics were taken hours after I got the car back from the mechanic. It has settled a bit since Monday.

Great reviews guys. I think I've talked myself into these. Can I get a front end alignment done without CC plates after I lower my car or are they necessary with the springs? I plan on doing CC plates later on when I do a shock/strut package. Thanks!

I used Eibach camber bolts and GT500 strut mounts. Alignment worked perfectly.

They aren't necessary, but we recommend them for anything more then a 1.5in' drop. Anything 1.5in and under, a standard alignment can get the toe and everything in pretty good shape again.

The SR springs being a 1.5in drop, you shouldn't have any problems at all!
