I bought the car back at the end of May and the pic was taken minutes after I pulled it off the trailer. The car was originally an auto but I converted it to a manual(TKO600) a few weeks ago. That clutch cable was an adjustable unit that I had laying in the garage. I put an OEM cable in yesterday and bolted down the little mounting bracket as well. I put on the C/C plates and coil overs the weekend before last. I have a build thread in this section, check it out. I've done a ton of stuff to this car in the small amount of time I've had it.
Nice man, sounds like a fun build.. Post a link to the thread

Looks good man. I noticed the few changes in the engine bay as well. I also see that you changed the idler pulley...lol

^lol, yup. You wouldn't believe the racket this thing made when I got it. The idler, tensioner, and A/C clutch were all making crazy noises. Replaced the belt and spark plugs that day too. All the rubber was gone from the A/C clutch

That's not true, they're all 5 quarts. That dipstick you have is a Ford replacement stick, the factory original stick is the one that has the writing on it.

my car takes about 5 1/2 quarts to get to the mid-way point and I have the same ring type dipstick. I'm pretty sure it came that way from the factory

This is my before/after engine bay shot. The first pic is from the day I got the car in August 2010 and the second pic is from a month ago.

I didn't clean my engine, I put a new engine in and I cleaned the new one down before I dropped it in. I also took advantage of the engine being out and I sprayed the whole engine bay with rust reformer (where needed), and then engine primer/paint. So it's all beautiful for the time being.
