OP,

I think your best bet is to get a Bama SF3 tuner, Xpipe, 4.10s, and an aftermarket intake plenum. Do these mods first and enjoy the new power/acceleration for the time being. It's going to be a very noticeable improvement over stock and I think you'll have a lot of fun with it. Once things start to get old again and you're looking for more power, this is the point I would start looking at small centrifugal supercharger (Procharger or Vortech) or a small shot of nitrous. If you decide to go with nitrous (my personal first choice), you'll still be able to get a Bama tune update for up to a 100shot!

IMO, this is the best route to go for 2v GT's. Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else!

There is nothing wrong with a cam install on 2v's, in some cases you can get up to 40 hp gain with the appropriate setup. this is what i will be putting on my car:

those are cms stage 2 n/a cams
I love CMS cams! They are the best sounding cams on a 2V in my opinion.

With 4.30's and exhaust, Jaws & panties will drop like a Kardashian booty.

Would you recommend getting a 70mm tb with the plenum or is the tb not worth it?

someone correct me if im wrong, but i believe the tb wont really give you much of a bang for your buck but the plenum may. I would think the tb is a last resort power upgrade after gears, cams, exhaust, tune, etc

Without getting rid of the absolutely horrid stock tune upgrading the TB and plenum will not do much. Mostly because at higher loads and WOT the stock tune is so pig rich there's no much that can be done.

If you dump the stock tune, even for a custom "87 octane tune", the plenum upgrade will wake up the upper mid-range and higher at WOT. Add a 70 mm TB and the engine will pull more strongly after the HP peaks and right up to the rev-limiter.
