Default Exhaust Idea

Hey guys,
So I have a rusty dynomax exhaust on my roush and i was wondering if i could just replace the mufflers without having to replace the whole system. What I would do is by the stinger muffler by itself, then cut my Dynamax off the original pipe. then i would use exhaust clamps to hold the new muffler to the old pipe, removing the need for welding. I am wondering if this is possible to do because I am looking for a louder sound. Thanks.

You answered your own question in your post....But Id personally weld a connection like that to prevent possible leaks.

You might have better luck with getting it welded. Cost should be next to nothing to take the news ones and have them cut and replace. Call a couple local shops and find out.

The easiest and best way .. And do it right the first time is have a muffler shop cut your old mufflers out and weld your new ones in .. When they weld the new ones in , start the car up and see If you like the sound with no tail pipe after the muffler before they weld up the outlet to the tail pipe ... Ya never know you might like it running cut/offs ??
