The motorcraft gray is what we use at the ford dealership I work at , I'm sure any will work it's just what I'm used to and never had any problems from it

Heres what I use. Reusable, and no goop required. Ive had my cover on and off probably a half dozen times, and not a drop of fluid ever leaked out of it:

Don't use any old RTV on rear ends. Permatex makes a specific Gear Oil RTV.
