ONLY thing I would change would be the angle of the exhaust out the bumper. I would change it to exit "flat" instead of pointing upward. Personal preference though.

Congrats on getting it going. More vids!

Well guys and gals... Here she is...

"finished" for this years round of building and modz....

I drove the car tonight, hit 132kpa a couple times, I drove it, stopped to look probably 10 times, each time going farther and coming back to the driveway to look and inspect for leaks or whatever else...

Everything did go great, i have NO complaints or problems to fix that i can see. I will be driving farther tomorrow, about 10 miles each way... wow, right? lol, Such a long drive! haha

here are a few pics after i washed and shined her up before i took her out tonight.

I need to make my catch can lines, i'll be using -8 line as thats what my fitting are... Just need to go grab some in the morning... I'll probably drive to the speed shop in her to go get them...

I noticed your intake to the turbo is right behind the bumper cover? Think there will be any issues pulling in air with it like that?

Also, I may suggest mounting the catch can lower than the inlet/outlet to the engine. For the simple reason so that any oil that builds up in the lines will not drain back into the engine if the can is mounted above the engine. It may be small potatoes, but never know.

Good idea on the catch can, i never gave that any thought, i will look into that tonight, i'll be starting my manual steering conversion.

As far as the turbo inlet, I intend to gut a hole in the bumper eventually, just havent gotten around to doing it yet.

Also keep in mind a cool catch can is an efficient catch can. Keep it away from heat as much as possible too. the whole point is to have the vapors cool/condense in the catch can thus creating the fluid you see being "caught".

In the end, there is not much to a catch can. I will never buy a $100+ unit. All it does is baffle the vapors to condense. NO ONE can claim they have the best catch can because every engine will be different in terms of how much oil is in the vapors to condense. You can not quantify that for every pound of air passing through the can that you will have 10oz of liquid. Thus you can not say that if you only catch 5 oz of oil that your can is 50% efficient. You have no "target" amount to catch.

To me ANY oil in the can is oil NOT in the intake lol. I'm running a modified $12 Husky Air Compressor filter unit and it catches a decent mount:
You can see it zip ties to my strut brace

I ran a dual setup on my 04 GTO because 1 caught fluid....2 must be better?? lol
